Babes Wodumo is one of the music connoisseurs who were instrumental in influencing the genre’s international acclaim, including South African rapper Okmalumkoolkat, who is the Italian record label Gqom Oh owner, Malumqawz Kole, and Afrotainment record label owner DJ Tira.
She was featured on the song “Redemption” from Black Panther: The Album. Wodumo received a BET Award nomination for Best International Act: Africa in 2017. However, she launched her second album, Idando Kazi, in July 2020, which included the smash tune Elamont ft. Mampintsha and Skillz.
