Robby Blake Bortles (born April 28, 1992) is a former American football quarterback who spent eight seasons in the National Football League (NFL), mostly with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Blake attended UCF, where he was named AAC Offensive Player of the Year as a junior and was named Fiesta Bowl MVP in 2014. Bortles was chosen third overall by the Jaguars in the 2014 NFL Draft.
Bortles set franchise records for single-season passing yards and touchdowns in 2015 as the Jaguars’ starting quarterback from 2014 to 2018. His most successful season was in 2017, when Blake helped lead the Jaguars to their first division title and appearance in the AFC Championship Game since 1999. Bortles, on the other hand, led the league in interceptions in 2015 and finished his five-year career with a league-high 75 interceptions. Blake spent his final three seasons as a backup for the Los Angeles Rams, Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, and New Orleans Saints after being released by the Jaguars in 2018.
