The singer is not a lesbian, Pearce confirmed that she was dating fellow country singer Michael Ray. Pearce told Taste of Country that she met him after writing comments on his Instagram account. In their first interactions, Ray did not understand Pearce’s intentions. They became engaged on December 19, 2018.
The two were married on October 6, 2019, near Nashville, Tennessee. In June 2020, Pearce filed for divorce from Ray after eight months. Later that year, she began dating former Minor League Baseball player Riley King.
At age 16, Pearce auditioned for the “Country Crossroads” show, a program part of the Dollywood theme park. After being offered the job, she convinced her parents to move to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (the location of Dollywood), and to let her drop out of high school.
