Ethan Fernea is a professional American footballer born in 1994 at Dripping Springs, Texas. Ethan as a football college player received three varsity letters and was selected to the district’s first team on both attack and defence. He additionally received three baseball letters and was selected to the first teams of both the Central Texas and District teams. Ethan also earned three track letters and qualified for the regional 100 m race. The Austin American Statesman named him one of the Top 50 athletes in Central Texas for 2015.
Fernea had the option of accepting an Air Force scholarship made available to him, but he wanted to play at a higher level and was able to do so owing to a fortuitous encounter over the 2015 holiday break. Highlights of Ethan’s high school games were shown on tape when his father and uncle met an acquaintance who was the friend of Robbie Paton, a member of the recruiting staff for then-UCLA coach Jim Mora.
