George Weyerhaeuser went on to Yale University and worked for Weyerhaeuser in various roles until 1966 when he was named CEO and president, a post he held until 1991.
Until 1999, he was also the chairman of the Board of Directors.
In a June 14 news statement, the Weyerhaeuser Company, one of America’s premier forestry firms founded by Weyerhaeuser’s great-grandfather, acknowledged Weyerhaeuser’s death.
