Throughout Ray’s trial, Isabella Pollok was frequently mentioned in audio and video recordings of Ray verbally, physically, and psychologically assaulting his victims. On an audio tape made in a midtown hotel room, Pollok could be heard as Ray tortured Drury mentally and physically, once tying her to a chair and putting a plastic bag over her head so she couldn’t breathe. At one point during his trial, prosecutors accused Ray of using his father to deliver coded communications to Pollok. Lawrence Ray, 62, is accused of recruiting Pollok after living at his daughter’s on-campus residence with her and several of the victims in 2010.

Authorities claim that Ray forced millions of dollars from his daughter’s friends. After residing with Pollok and several of the victims at his daughter’s on-campus apartment in 2010, Lawrence Ray, 62, is charged with recruiting Pollok.
