Young M.A is popularly known as Young M.A, however, she is also called Ma. The M.A in her name stands for “Me Always”. Young rose to fame quickly when her first single, “Ooouuu” was released which was declared triple platinum and reached the Top 20 of the US Billboard Hot 100.
At the 2016 BET Hip Hop Awards, she performed a freestyle on a cipher and performed “Ooouuu”, giving what XXL Magazine described as a “show-stopping freestyle. one of the best freestyles of the night”.
