A young Katherine Elizabeth “Kate” Bishop will put on a replica of Ronin’s superhero armor in the newest Marvel Cinematic Universe holiday series, Hawkeye, which premieres on Disney+. Her goal will be to save New York.

In order to uncover a criminal scheme, Katherine, a self-taught archer who has always been fascinated by the work of the Hawkeye (also known as Clinton Francis “Clint” Barton), tries to convince her hero to work with her.

Is Kate Bishop Gay?

Sadly, there is no evidence to support Kate Bishop’s status as a queer character in the Hawkeye series or Marvel Comics at this time. Some fans, however, believe that the MCU may change this and make Kate either bisexual or pansexual in order to encourage greater diversity in the live-action series.

In the Young Avengers comic book series, Kate poses the question, “Am I the only straight person in the group?” This clearly demonstrates the character’s preference within the context of the comic’s plot.
