Kevin Conroy is a famous American actor, he is most known for providing the voice of DC Comics superhero Batman, in a variety of mediums, starting with the Warner Bros. television series Batman: The Animated Series in the 1990s and moving on to additional TV shows and feature films in the DC Animated Universe.
Conroy is Gay, and he wrote a story, known as “Finding Batman,” which detailed his life and experiences as a gay man, to DC Comics’ 2022 Pride anthology. When it was released, the reviews were positive. At the time of his death, he was still married to Vaughn C. Williams. He performed in a number of modern and classic theater works between 1980 and 1985, including the Broadway versions of Edward Albee’s Lolita and Eastern Standard. He admitted to The New York Times that he had “such a sense of obligation” to play the role of a TV producer covertly living with AIDS in Eastern Standard because he attended so many funerals as a homosexual man in New York during the AIDS pandemic.
