She participated in the church choir, started playing the guitar at the age of 12 on a friend’s instrument, and started writing lyrics after hearing reggae artist Protoje. She was a student at Kingston, Jamaica’s Ardenne High School.
In 2017, she put out her first single, “Burning,” and in 2019, she got a deal with Columbia Records. At the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, Koffee’s 2019 EP Rapture won the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album, making her the youngest recipient of the honour and the only female. Gifted, her most recent album, came out in March 2022.
Seventh-day Adventist, sporadic actor, and Ministry of Health employee Koffee’s mother. Koffee’s mother’s religious upbringing served as one of her earliest musical influences.
