Larry Mize is a known professional golfer from America. The Danny Thomas Memphis Classic in 1983 marked his first PGA Tour victory. With a remarkable chip shot from off the green on the 11th hole, he defeated Seve Ballesteros and Greg Norman to win the 1987 Masters Tournament in a playoff.

Mize won three additional times on the PGA Tour and once on the Champions Tour in addition to his major tournament victory. He also participated in the Ryder Cup and the Dunhill Cup for the American teams.

Mize is renowned for his charitable activity, especially for sponsoring a golf outing to raise money for cystic fibrosis and his three boys. He likes playing the piano, fishing, and basketball in his own time.

Mize has participated in a remarkable 39 straight master’s Tournaments, 34 of which have come after he received a lifetime admission as a result of his 1987 victory.
