As a left-back for Premier League club Aston Villa and the France national team, Lucas Digne (born July 20, 1993) is a French professional football player.

Digne started his professional career at Lille before transferring to Paris Saint-Germain in 2013. In July 2016, he transferred to Barcelona from Roma after a season-long loan. Despite not playing consistently for either club, he won twelve trophies between Paris and Barcelona. In August 2018, he signed up with Everton, where he appeared 113 times before moving on to Aston Villa in January 2022.

Digne and English club Everton agreed to a five-year deal on August 1st, 2018 in exchange for an upfront payment of £18 million. Ten days later, he made his debut, replacing double-goal scorer Richarlison during the final four minutes of Wolverhampton Wanderers’ 2-2 draw. He made his debut on August 29 and assisted Dominic Calvert’s goal in a 3-1 EFL Cup victory over Rotherham United. ‘s Lewin’s Four days later, Digne made his first Premier League start for Everton against Huddersfield Town at home, where he assisted in Calvert’s goal that set up Lewin’s equalizer in a 1-1 draw.
