Boucher was a notable member of organized crime, a killer, a drug trafficker, an outlaw motorcyclist, and the previous leader of the Hells Angels chapter in Quebec.

He ordered the murder of two prison officers in Quebec who was chosen at random in an effort to scare the Quebec Justice system, and in 2002, he was found guilty of attempted murder and two charges of first-degree murder.

He received a life sentence, with a 25-year minimum wait before parole eligibility. He was housed in one of Canada’s few supermax prisons.

He was transferred to palliative care on June 10 after seven years of fighting cancer. He turned 69 years old on June 21.

Boucher was found guilty of rape after holding a gun to the head of a 16-year-old girl in September 1984 and threatening to shoot her immediately if she refused to have sex with him.

Boucher was able to fraudulently receive unemployment benefits while he was incarcerated. A clerk didn’t realize the address the checks were being sent to was a prison until just before he was scheduled for release in January 1986.

EDT on July 10, 2022, at 8:21 p.m. Maurice “Mom” Boucher, a former Hells Angels leader, passed away at the age of 69 while being held at Archambault Institution.

His death was announced on Sunday by Correctional Service Canada (CSC), which stated that he passed away from “apparent natural causes.”
