In 2009 for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program and again from 2020 to 2022 for Top Chef, Padma Lakshmi received a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award. She also received three Critics’ Choice Awards for Top Chef in 2020.
As a result of her modeling work, Padma Lakshmi began to appear in television programs filmed in Hollywood, Bollywood, and Europe. She then received offers for acting jobs. In the 2001 film “Glitter,” starring Mariah Carey, she made brief appearances. She also appeared in the Italian drama “Caraibi,” for which she had to gain over 30 pounds.
