On the WTA Tour, Petra Martić won two singles matches; on the WTA Challenger Tour, she won one singles match, one doubles match, four singles matches, five doubles matches, and one tournament. Her finest performance as a junior was making it to the US Open quarterfinals in 2006.

In 2007, Petra Martić competed as a wildcard in her first WTA Tour main draw match at the Miami Open. She lost to Russian Alina Jidkova in the opening round. To start the 2010 season, Petra Martić was defeated in the opening stages of the Sydney International (by Kimiko Date-Krumm) and Auckland Open (by Chanelle Scheepers).
