Cleopatra’s father, Ptolemy XII (Auletes), was descended from Ptolemy I Soter, an Alexander the Great commander and the founder of Egypt’s Ptolemaic dynasty. Ptolemy XII and Auletes had a daughter, Cleopatra, whom they named after their father. She may have been a daughter of Cleopatra V Tryphaena, who was married to King Antony (and possibly his half-sister).

 

During her reign, Egypt rose to prominence as the richest country in the Mediterranean and the last to remain free of Roman rule. In her role as a leader, she had considerable influence and influence over others.

 

Is Ptolemy Cleopatra’s brother?

From 51 to 47 BC, Egypt was controlled by Ptolemy XIII Theos Philopator, the last of the Ptolemaic dynasty’s monarchs. 51 to 47 B.C. was the period of his rule under this emperor. He was born in the year 62 BC and died on the 13th of January in the year 47 BC (305–30 BC).

 

As a co-ruler, he was the son of Ptolemy XII and the brother of Cleopatra VII. His mother’s name was Cleopatra, and his father’s was Ptolemy.
