Sellas Tetteh was born Sellas Tetteh Teivi on 12 December 1956 in Adabraka, Accra in Ghana, West Africa. Tetteh is the son of Mensah Teivi and Elizabeth Dablah. Sellas Tetteh is a professional football coach and former professional football player.
Sellas Tetteh played for professional football clubs including Golden Pods, Hearts of Oak, Zebi, ACB, Julius Berger, Bendel United, and Iwuanyanwu. Tetteh retired from professional football play in the year 1995, making his last appearance for Iwuanyanwu.
In the same year Sellas Tetteh retired from played, he began with his coaching career which he coached teams such as Kotobabi Powerlines, Liberty Professionals as well as the Ghana national football team, that is, the Under-17, Under-20, Under-23, and the senior team.
Sellas Tetteh was married to Evelyn Idun Teivi. Evelyn passed away on 26 January 2017. Tetteh has two children named Precious Awefa Teivi and Prince Kelvin Sowah Teivi.
