Brown attended Clifton J. Ozen High School in Beaumont, Texas, where he was a world-class athlete and played football.
He has 95 tackles, one interception, and 15 passes broken up as a freshman in 2010. In 2011, he had 96 tackles, three interceptions, a fumble recovery, and 16 pass breakups as a sophomore.
Brown graduated from high school early and entered in January 2014 at the University of Alabama, where he began playing football and track & field.
In the NCAA semi-finals, he improved his 100-meter mark to 10.12 seconds. He was detained in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on January 18, 2014.
He was suspended and sent home on December 31, 2015, for starting a brawl while practicing for the 2015 Cotton Bowl.
