Troy Cassar Daley’s parents are Tony Cassar and Irene Daley. According to Adelaide Now, Tony arrived in Australia when he was eight years old, speaking very little English.

Tony left school to work in a factory. He grew up being taunted as a “Wog” meaning a person who is not white or an immigrant from other countries.

Meanwhile, Troy’s mother left school in Year 9 and went to “the big smoke.” She wind-up working in a laundry. Irene and Tony met in the street.

They go out for a while and got married and had Troy. When Troy was just 18 months old, Tony found out his wife and son were gone.

Irene headed back to her family and Troy was then surrounded by uncles, aunties, and his Aboriginal grandfather and grandmother.

Troy Cassar Daley’s wife is Laurel Edwards. Laurel first met Daley in 1993 at the Gympie Music Muster. Soon after 3 years, they got married in 1996.

Together, the pair has two beautiful children named Clay and Jem. Troy and Laurel have been married for over two decades now.

Laurel is an Australian radio announcer and television presenter. She was quoted as Brisbane’s longest-serving female breakfast radio presenter.

Troy’s son Clay is also a radio presenter at Brisbane Indigenous station 98.9 FM.
