On August 2nd, 2022, Vincent Edward Scully passed away after a long battle with cancer. He was 94. After serving for a considerable amount of time as the radio and television voice of the Los Angeles Dodgers, his reputation gradually came to be connected with the city.

 

As the club’s primary radio and television commentator from 1958 until his retirement in 2016 at the age of 88, and at the top of his game, he was still going strong. At that time, he moved to Los Angeles with the club.

 

When Scully was the game announcer for the Dodgers and his devoted fan base, all of those memorable baseball events took place. Many of them listened to Scully’s calls from the press box above while watching games while wearing one earphone to block out the noise of Dodger Stadium.

 

Is Vin Scully in the hall of fame?

Induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1982 and the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2016 were among his numerous honors.

 

After Hall of Famers Red Barber and Connie Desmond, Scully began his broadcasting career with the Brooklyn Dodgers at the age of 22.
