Bounou was named to the starting lineup and warmed up on the field with his teammates before being mysteriously replaced. Reserve goalkeeper Mohamedi was given only a few minutes to prepare for Belgium, and his sudden appearance surprised BBC commentators who hadn’t noticed the change before the game began inside the Al Thumama stadium.
