Ivan Osim, best known as Ivica Osim( May 6, 1941- May 1, 2022), was a Bosnian professional footballer and football manager. As a player, he was a member of the Yugoslavia national team and played in the 1964 Summer Olympics.
As a manager, Ivica won a bronze medal with Yugoslavia at the 1984 Summer Olympics as an assistant and reached the quarter-finals of the 1990 FIFA World Cup as the head coach of the Yugoslavia National Team.
He also reached the 1984-85 UEFA Cup Semifinals as the manager of his hometown club Zeljeznicar. Osim acted as the Coach of the National team Japan before suffering a stroke in November 2007 and had to leave his post.
On April 18, 2018, FIFA announced that Osim becomes the president of the interim committee to run the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina after the country was suspended from all international competitions. He served until December 13, 2012.
After years of several health conditions after suffering a stroke, Osim died on May 1, 2022.
