The Magpies have only made three acquisitions this summer after making significant purchases in January, making Matt Targett’s loan transfer permanent in addition to acquiring Sven Botman and Nick Pope.

Newcastle, though, is eager to improve their offensive options after failing to buy Hugo Ekitike this summer, according to sources.

Jack Harrison: Leeds reject Newcastle approach for winger

Harrison, who is one of their priorities, has reportedly already been contacted by the team, according to many reports. Immediately after Newcastle’s offer of £25 million was made, Leeds reportedly rejected it.

The Whites, who have already let go of two significant players during this transfer window in Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha, value Harrison at considerably more than £25 million.

After his team’s recent loss to Aston Villa in preseason play, when asked whether he would leave the club, the player said, “We’ll see what happens,” putting doubt on his own future with the organization.
