She was determined to lead a regular life despite having dwarfism like her mother.
Burkitt, who stands at 3’11”, was anxious to prove that she was just like other teenagers and received praise for being open about the facts of her daily existence.
Lewis-Burke, her bereaved fiancé, posted a notice of her passing on social media. She died at the age of 28.
In a tribute post, Mr. Burke said “She is also the most strong, hilarious, kind, and morally upright person I have ever met.
