The Anderson couple went to a T.G.I. Friday’s restaurant in northwest Milwaukee on April 21, 1992, for dinner and a movie. After supper, Jesse stabbed Barbara five times in the face and head before killing himself by stabbing himself four times in the chest, albeit the majority of his wounds were superficial.
Barbara suffered injuries, went into a coma, and passed away two days later. Anderson alleged that two black men attacked him and his wife. Jefferson displayed a Los Angeles Clippers basketball cap on which, according to him, one of the attackers’ heads had been severed.
At the time of his deadly capture, the Anderson family and their three young children were residing in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. He volunteered at the Divine Word Catholic Church in addition to serving as the Lions Club’s treasurer.
