Jammu, Sep 14 (IANS) Death cost in the street mishap in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch locale rose to 12 on Wednesday as three harmed people surrendered to their wounds in the clinic while five were transported to Jammu city for particular treatment, authorities said here.
“Three people among 27 harmed capitulated to wounds in the emergency clinic. Five have been carried to Jammu city for particular treatment,” the authorities said.
The mishap happened toward the beginning of today when a minibus with enlistment number JK12 1419 left the driver’s control close to Brari Ballah Sawjian in Poonch locale and dropped into a chasm.
Salvage groups of the Army, neighborhood police and regular folks raced to the spot. Nine travelers died on the spot.
“Five of the 24 harmed travelers have been carried to Jammu city for particular treatment”, authorities said.
Leader of India Droupadi Murmu said on the Rashtrapati Bhavan Twitter page, “The deficiency of lives in a grievous street mishap in Sawjian, Poonch is profoundly upsetting. My contemplations and petitions to God are with the deprived families. I wish rapid recuperation of the harmed”.
J&K Lt. Lead representative Manoj Sinha has reported ex gratia pay of Rs 5 lakhs each to the closest relative of the people who lost their lives in this mishap.
Sinha said on his authority Twitter page, “Disheartened by loss of lives because of street mishap in Sawjian, Poonch. Sympathies to dispossessed families. May the harmed recuperate soon. Rs 5 lakh will be given to closest relative of perished. Guided police and common specialists to give most ideal treatment to the harmed”.
