Jammin'” Joe LaRue, is a competitive eater from Binghamton, New York who currently resides in Dayton, Nevada, he was born on February 13, 1960. LaRue knows the qualities of the food he eats and uses that information to improve his innate athletic talent. He is an executive chef and received his Bachelor of Science in culinary arts with magna cum laude.
LaRue competes in competitive eating alone, and is connected to All Pro Eating. He has previously had a position in the MLE as high as seventh.
LaRue, is also a professional chef, who competed in noteworthy years from 2003 to 2011, taking first place in the Footy’s Y-100 Wing Ding chicken wing eating competition and second place in the Sweet Corn Fiesta’s Sweet Corn Eating Championship.
He demonstrated his superior aptitude by winning the 2005 sweet corn eating competition (eating 31 ears of sweet corn in 12 minutes). With 46 ears of corn consumed in 12 minutes in 2010, he has been the owner of the sweet corn-eating world record for seven years.
He currently holds the records for eating the most mall food—107 ounces—in six minutes, the most pickles—4 pounds of sour, garlicky, and dill—in five minutes, and the most coney dogs—14 in three minutes. LaRue still takes part in some competitions and challenges, although he no longer competes regularly.
