He is popularly known as the co- founder of the rock band called Fall Out Boy, which was found in 2001, as a side project, from the hardcore punk scene that Trohman and Pete Wentz were involved in.
Trohman is friends with the band’s lead singer, Pete Wentz, and the two talked about starting a more melodic band with influences from acts like Green Day. After meeting Patrick Stump at a Borders, Trohman asked him to join the band, which would later take the name Fall Out Boy. Fall Out Boy’s major label debut, From Under the Cork Tree, which featured vocalist Patrick Stump and bassist Pete Wentz as the band’s principal lyricists and composers, was a commercial success.
