Duke Wayne was a professional actor who was very famous during Hollywood’s Golden Age. Wayne was known for his roles in films such as Red River, The Searchers, The Quiet Man, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, and The Longest Day, among many other films.

John Wayne was honored with awards including one Academy Award, two Golden Globe Awards, DeMolay Legion Honor, and Congressional Gold Medal among other awards as well as nominations.

John Wayne’s cause of death

John Wayne passed away on June 11, 1979, at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California in the United States of America at the age of 72 years old. Wayne was said to have died of stomach cancer. Wayne was buried at the Pacific View Memorial Park Cemetery in Corona del Mar, Newport Beach.
