Just last year, St. George legend, Captain Noam Provin had died, and now Rapper is gone too.

Rugby Coach Johnny Raper Cause Of Death: What Happened To Him?

Johnny Raper’s cause of death is his lifelong battle with dementia and has died at the age of 82. Rugby league is mourning the demise of Johnny and the league has lost another happy soul.

Raper passed away with his family, relatives, and friends around him after an extended battle with dementia. Dementia is the ability to remember think or reason.

He had just celebrated his 80th birthday surrounded by family and friends two years ago and he is one.

This is the third time the rugby league has lost an Immortal, followed by the deaths of Norm Provan and Bob Fulton in 2021.

Johnny was the final one surviving of the exceptional four Immortals inducted in 1981 which included Fulton, Reg Gasnier, and Clive Churchill.

Johnny Raper Illness & Heath Problems

Johnny Raper was suffering from major life-threatening illness dementia along with other health problems regarding old age.

Due to dementia, he was unable to function properly and used to forget basic things most of the time.

As it was interfering with his daily life, his personality slowly started changing and he lost the balance that is needed in life.

The disease is more common with older people as they grow old they normally start to forget things. But it is not normal to stop recognizing your family altogether.

Many people tend to live into their 90s and beyond without any signs of dementia.

Meet Johnny Raper Wife Carly Raper

The Soccer genius Johnny Raper was survived by his wife Carly Raper and his sons Aaron and Stuart.

Johnny met Carly in Riveesby, southwest of Sydney while playing Tennis. Soon they fell in love and had been living together for 53 years in the southern suburbs of St George territory.

Carly and her family migrated from Britain to Australia on the P&O’s Oronsay in 1953 as a result of the postwar.

She and their sons were present at the time when her dear husband parted from his world.

Aaron is an Australian former rugby league footballer who played for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks and Parramatta Eels and the Castleford Tigers.

Stuart is also a former rugby league footballer and coach and now he works as a sideline commentator for the NRL with Foxsports.
