Jury Recommends Death for Fla. Man Who Killed 2 Boys with Hammer in ‘Violent and Relentless Rage’

It took under an hour for a Florida jury to deliberate and suggest Mark Wilson Jr. be condemned to death for the brutal homicide of two youthful brothers.

An appointed authority will make the final decision on whether to accept the jury’s recommendation during a December hearing.

The thought process in the slayings was unclear at the time, however Putnam Province Sheriff Gator DeLoach said Wilson had allegedly been on a methamphetamine binge before the killings.

“It is our understanding from a portion of our interviews with a portion of the individuals associated with the case that the suspect Mark Wilson was affected by methamphetamine and had been for several days, and we think that may have been a contributing factor to this heinous, simply rageful wrongdoing,” DeLoach told Individuals in 2020.

The crime location was one of the most obviously awful he had at any point seen, DeLoach told FirstCoast News.
