Kayvon Thibodeaux (TIB-uh-doe; born December 15, 2000) is an NFL outside linebacker for the New York Giants. He was selected USA Today’s High School Football Defensive Player of the Year in 2018 as a resident of Los Angeles.

He played high school football at Oaks Christian School and was named USA Today’s High School Football Defensive Player of the Year in 2017. He was a member of the Oregon Ducks football team.

Thibodeaux joined the University of Oregon to play college football for the Ducks after graduating from high school. In 2019, he was named the Pac-12 Defensive Freshman of the Year, he earned the Morris Trophy as a sophomore, and he was a unanimous All-American as a junior.

The Giants selected him fifth overall in the NFL Draft in 2022.

In 2019, Thibodeaux won the Pac-12 Defensive Freshman of the Year award. As a sophomore, he was voted first-team All-Pac-12 and won the Morris Trophy on defense, as well as being named MVP of the Pac-12 Football Championship Game in 2020.

Thibodeaux hurt his ankle in the first game of his junior season, and he missed the next two games. He has seven sacks in 2021 and was named to the College Football All-America Team unanimously.

Thibodeaux said after the season that he would forego his senior year and enter the NFL Draft in 2022.
