Kelly Ripa Says Son Michael’s Post-College Job ‘Evaporated’ Due to Pandemic: ‘Adulting Is Hard’

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos will continuously be their children’s biggest allies. On Friday’s episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan, the mother of three, 52, focused on the challenges of “adulting” as her children join the labor force, sharing that her most established child Michael, 25, struggled with his post-school work.

“Adulting is difficult these days. It’s exceptionally hard for youngsters. Open positions aren’t what they were. The economy is driving this pattern.” said Ripa. “I realize that Michael graduated school in May of 2020 and he had a composing position arranged which dissipated in light of the fact that the pandemic shut down the creation and it simply never returned.”

“In this way, you know, we gave him a beauty time of an extra year to secure other position open doors since it’s hard,” she said of her and her better half Mark Consuelos.

Alongside Michael, Ripa and Consuelos are likewise guardians to child Joaquin, 19, and little girl Lola, 21.

Ripa proceeded to make sense of why she feels it’s a “novel time right now to have children in school.” “I told them, these are years that you will not get back and here we wouldn’t fret supporting you monetarily as long as you work — as long as you keep a task for your additional items, as I call them,” she shared.

“The extravagant accessories; their desired stuff — as long as you work for that, we will cover the center costs, yet when you graduate, that is finished,” she proceeded.

“Since we were hitched at 25, you understand what I mean? Furthermore, we feel like since we didn’t have security nets, we got something cooking.”

Michael had a significant accomplishment recently — making it into Individuals’ 2022 Hottest Man Alive issue!

The 25-year-old showed up in an arrangement of well known children, where he kidded that his dad, 51, consistently needs him and his brother Joaquin “to seem as though him.”

“I got new glasses and afterward my father texts me, ‘Where did you get those glasses?’ ” Michael reviewed. “What’s more, I’m like, ‘God help us, can you essentially pick an alternate tone?’ My father, my brother and I will be wearing similar dark jeans and dim shirt and I’m like, I attempt to appear to be somewhat unique than that. I like to stand apart a smidgen.”
