Kenneth Winston Starr, who was a federal appellate judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia was born on July 21, 1946, in Vernon, Texas, United States. Ken Starr was also an American lawyer and judge.
Ken Starr attended Harding College, a Christian University for two years. His academic career continued with a transfer to George Washington University, a political science master’s from Brown University and a law degree from Duke University.
A week before beginning law school, he married Alice Jean Mendell in 1970. They went on to have three children and nine grandchildren.
Ken Starr worked as Chief Justice Warren E. Burger’s law clerk before joining the Washington office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
