Tsang married three times, the first time in 1969 to Lan Di, a Malaysian Chinese circus performer with whom he had a son.
They divorced ten years later, in 1979, and his child moved home with his mother. They moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, after that.
Tsang married journalist and model Barbara Tang in 1980, and the couple has a daughter, Musette Tsang Mo suet. Tsang and Tang separated in 1990.
In 1994, Tsang married Chiao Chiao, a Taiwanese actress with Chinese ancestry.
