Football was clearly his sport, as was evident. Granson started high school in Frisco, a suburb of Dallas, but switched to Marble Falls High School for his sophomore year. He ultimately made the varsity team and was expected to play a significant role in the program.
Granson, however, relocated before entering his junior year and enrolled at Austin Westlake because his stepfather David accepted a coaching post there. For any child, switching high schools once might be difficult. A huge challenge is switching high schools twice in two years. Granson also did not play a lot for Westlake as a junior.
