Walker averaged 21,3 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 4 assists a game while playing basketball for Moreau Catholic High School in Hayward, California. After guiding his team to a runner-up finish in California Interscholastic Federation Division II, he was named MaxPreps National Rookie of the Year. Walker transferred to Hillcrest Prep, a basketball program in Phoenix, Arizona, for his sophomore year, with his father Khari joining the coaching staff.
