Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) was escorted out of “Beetlejuice” musical in downtown Denver after causing a a ruckus.

“In an incident report shared with The Denver Post on Tuesday afternoon, officials with Denver Arts & Venues wrote that two patrons were asked to leave the city-owned Buell Theatre during the performance of the touring Broadway show. They previously were issued a warning during the intermission regarding behavior that prompted three complaints from other theatergoers,” The Denver Post’s John Aguilar reported.

Although Boebert was not directly named in the incident report, her campaign office confirmed that she was at the performance and was ordered to leave. Boebert was accused of vaping and making noise in addition to using recording equipment. She reportedly refused to leave, telling the organizers they could call the police if they wanted, adding “Do you know who I am?”

One of the ushers said, “They told me they would not leave. I told them that they needed to leave the theater and if they did not, they would be trespassing. The patrons said they would not leave. I told them I would (be) going to get Denver Police. They said go get them.” In the end, the police had to intervene and they monitored the lobby until Boebert and the other patrons left the premises.

Boebert campaign manager Drew Sexton responded to the news by saying, “I can confirm the stunning and salacious rumors: in her personal time, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert is indeed a supporter of the performing arts (gasp!) and, to the dismay of a select few, enthusiastically enjoyed a weekend performance of ‘Beetlejuice.’”
