Justin Ross Harris, who was found guilty of purposefully leaving his 22-month-old son to die in a hot SUV in June 2014, is the ex-husband of Leanna Taylor.
In connection with the death of their son Cooper Harris, Justin Ross Harris was found guilty on eight charges, including malice murder and two counts of felony murder, on Monday.
Cooper’s father, Justin Ross Harris, was charged with murdering him more than two years ago; Harris had entered a not-guilty plea.
After spending nearly seven hours in a car seat in Harris’ locked sport utility vehicle in the Atlanta region, the boy passed away on June 18, 2014.
Cooper’s death was ruled an accident, according to Justin Ross Harris’ defence team, and Harris, a web developer for Home Depot, said he had forgotten his son was in the car.
While the defence maintained that Justin Harris’ son’s murder was an unanticipated tragedy, the prosecution claimed that Justin Harris killed his son on purpose in order to avoid the obligations of his family life.
According to the prosecution, Harris had a “double life” and Cooper had interfered with Harris’ ability to live the life he desired.

Taylor reportedly has a boyfriend and now resides in Alabama, per the AJC. But over three years after her son’s passing, she is still having a difficult time with life.
“People often claim that time heals all wounds, but for her, that is not the case,” explains Robach.
