Syllabus At Leicester City Academy

The training program at this Academy will be broken into technical and tactical training, with a special module for Goalkeepers. The below demonstrates:

  1. The professional development phase at the club’s Academy. Professional, Semi-Professional feeder system.
  2. The youth development phase at the Academy
  3. The foundation phase at the Academy
  4. The youth / professional development phase at the Academy
  5. The foundation development goalkeeper phase at the Academy
  6. Male and Female Football Development Trial Opportunities.

Leicester City Academy Player Registration

All players between the ages of nine to 11 years old must reside within one hour’s travelling time of the Academy. Prospective players aged Under-12 to Under-16 must live within one and a half hour’s travelling time of the Club.

During each player’s time with the Club, both the individuals and their parents will be required to comply with the Academy rules and regulations. At the end of the specified trial period, the player and their parents will be informed as to whether their trial period has been successful.

If unsuccessful, the player will be given a full appraisal by our coaches to advise of areas that could be improved to aid future development.

How To Get Scouted By A Scout To Leicester City Football Academy

To get scouted for a trial simply collect the following information:

  1. Players CV
  2. Covering Letter, listing playing history, clubs, and level, including all recent seasons
  3. Players Vital Statistics: Players’ position, Age, Date of Birth, Height, Weight, contact email/phone/address, current club, previous clubs, detail of any trials already attended, any representative honours such as school, districts, county etc
  4. Players school they attend youth players only.
  5. Fixture list for the season of your current team, including location and kick-off time to be passed to our scout.
  6. Under 18 please get your parents to send the details. All age groups can apply.

  1. With the assistance of our resource persons, the following are some things to keep in mind when attempting to attract the attention of the Scouts.
  2. Prepare a well-detailed CV of yourself. Attach a Cover Letter.
  3. You must attend summer camps.
  4. Always show good sportsmanship, especially when interacting with teammates.
  5. Make videos of your performances while training alone or competing in inter-soccer competitions.
  6. Demonstrate a strong desire to learn, which excites coaches and scouts.
  7. Never miss out on local open soccer competitions.
  8. Provide Player Statistics such as age, position in the field, previous clubs, School certificates, etc. Do not forget to include contact details.
  9. Demonstrated exceptional abilities both on and off the field.

How To Apply To Leicester City Football Academy

How To Apply To Leicester City FC Trial

To apply for a Leicester City FC trial:

  1. You must be aged between 8 years and 17 years of age.
  2. You must hold a British or European passport.
  3. Or you must have leave to remain in this country. Clubs do NOT send invitation letters to help apply for visas as this is simply an opportunity for a Leicester City FC Academy trial, and in no way assures you of a contract of guarantee of being offered a place.
  4. You must be playing for a good standard of the current football team.
  5. You must then write directly to Leicester City Football Academy including the following information, just contacting them without this FULL information will render your application void and don’t stand any chance of a football trial with Leicester City FC.
