Leslie Ray Griffith was an American writer and journalist who was born on January 1, 1956. She worked for about 25 years at the KTVU in San Francisco with veteran anchor Dennis Richmond.

Before assuming her current position, she was a fearless reporter who gathered facts and wrote the pieces that made her such a dominating presence during live broadcasts.

Griffith mastered the three-ring circus and became a great expert in breaking news in a setting that may be chaotic when a big story breaks.
In order to help young females, she created the Leslie R. Griffith Woman of Courage Scholarship in 2005.

She kept up her frequent writing for outlets including the San Francisco Chronicle and Huffington Post.

She won the best APRRA Award in 2005 for the best anchor.

Leslie passed away surviving three children, two daughters and a son.

Leslie Griffith passed away on August 10, 2022 in Mexico’s Lake Chapala. She died due to complications of Lyme illness which she fought for years according to family members.
