Louis van Amstel is a professional dancer and choreographer who appears on the American reality television program, known as Dancing with the Stars. He is known to be a Dutch-American ballroom dance champion, he was born on June 23, 1972, in Amsterdam. Louis van created the famous dancing workout program, known as LaBlast.
Van Amstel and Julie Fryer were trained by Ruud Vermeij, while they participated in the professional dance competition. Van Amstel and Fryer won both the Dutch Latin Championship and the 10 Dance Championship in 1990. They also advanced to the Blackpool “under 21” category final. At the German Open, World Latin, and European 10 Dance competitions in the same year, they each won a bronze medal. Van Amstel and Fryer came in fourth place at the Worlds 10 Dance Championship. Van Amstel and Fryer won the national titles for the second time in 1991 and finished fourth in all other major competitions.
