Luis Alberto Caicedo Mosquera, who was born on 18 May 1996, is a Colombian football midfielder who currently plays in Major League Soccer for the Houston Dynamo.
Caicedo joined Categora Primera A club Cortuluá, before of the 2015 season, having previously spent one season with Sporting CP, where he made one appearance for Sporting CP B. He made his debut for Cortuluá, coming off the bench in a 1-0 loss to La Equidad, on November 21, 2015.
Caicedo scored his first professional goal on August 20, 2016, in a 1-1 draw with Jaguares de Córdoba. He broke into the first squad during the 2016 season, featuring in 35 Categora Primera A matches and helping Cortuluá finish 11th in the aggregate standings.
He made two more appearances in the Copa Colombia and scored and assisted in El Equipo Corazón’s 2-1 win over Deportivo Cali on July 22, 2017. He ended the season with 32 total appearances, helping Cortuluá finish 19th overall.
Caicedo was a significant player for the Revolution in 2021, participating in 31 of 34 regular season matches and playing 2,359 minutes, the fourth most on the team, assisting the Revs to finish seventh in the East and qualify for the playoffs. He did not play in New England’s lone postseason game, a 1-0 defeat to Atlanta United.
