Lynda Carter was best known when she won the Miss USA title in 1972 representing her home state Arizona. Right after, she is among the list of Hollywood actors and actresses. He studied acting in New York and started her guest appearances on TV shows such as Starsky and Hutch. But her star role as Wonder Woman in the 1970s television series The New Original Wonder Woman (1975–77) and The New Adventures of Wonder Woman (1977–79) made her a recognizable star. She remained in the public eye as she always ended her television specials singing the song “Always.”

After Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter appeared in the film Apocalypse Now (1979). However, her screen was cut by director Francis Ford Coppola. In the 1980s she performed on the Las Vegas Strip and the Atlantic City that highlighted her musical talent. She then appeared in a string of movies in the 1990s. Later on, she starred in several other films, independent and mainstream. These are Super Troopers (2001), The Creature of the Sunny Side Up Trailer Park (2004), The Dukes of Hazzard (2005), Sky High (2005), Slayer (2006). In 2007, she appeared in the television series Smallville in the episode “Prodigy.”

Carter later on married the Hollywood producer and manager Ron Samuels from 1977-1982. In 1984, she married Washington lawyer Robert Altman and they have two children named Jamie (1988) and Jessica (1990). She is the daughter-in-law of television producer Sophie Altman.
