Mannan, a member of the AL advisory council and a liberation war organizer, died on Monday after cardiac arrest. During Eid prayers at Jamiatul Falah Mosque, the veteran AL leader complained of chest trouble.
He was transported to the adjacent National Hospital, where he was declared dead by the on-duty doctor.

Following Asr prayers, MA Mannan’s first namaz-e-janaza was performed at Azad Mosque in Gulshan-2, while his second was held on a school grounds at his hometown of Sreepur, Gazipur.
