Madison Cawthorn has been a US congressman who has been a representative for North Carolina’s 11th congressional district since 2021.
He became the youngest member of Congress, a position which was previously occupied by Jed Johnson Jr. Madison, a proud member of the Republican Party, and is also the youngest congressman to be born in the 1990s.
He was born on August 1, 1995, and was voted in 2020 to succeed Republican Mark Meadows, with whom he had previously worked in his office.
The politician who described himself as a Christian and a constitutional conservative has been criticized in his career, especially for his false claim that the 2020 presidential election was fraudulent, one which he has backtracked.

When Cawthorn was 18 in 2014 and was seriously injured when he was coming back from his spring-break trip to Florida. The accident occurred when Madison was in a car that was being driven by his friend, Bradley Ledford.
Ledford, who was sleep-driving, crashed the car into a concrete barrier while Madison’s feet were on the dashboard.
