In 2016, Rubio won the presidential primaries in Minnesota, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico but was unable to secure the Republican Party’s nominee for president.

Rubio worked as an intern for US Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen when he was studying law and also contributed to the 1996 presidential campaign of Republican senator Bob Dole. Two years after completing the law school, in April 1998, Rubio won a seat as a West Miami municipal commissioner. In the beginning of 2000, he was elected to the Florida House of Representatives.

She is the mother of Rubio’s four children. The two got married in a Catholic Church of the Little Flower in 1998. She was a former bank teller and Miami Dolphins cheerleader. Florida’s West Miami is where Rubio and his family reside.
