Robbie and her brothers were raised by their single mother with no interaction from their father. Her family lived on her grandparent’s farm in the Gold Coast hinterland. Robbie, an active child, frequently put on shows in her home. Her mother put her in a circus school, where Robbie excelled in trapeze and got a certificate at the age of eight. Robbie attended Somerset College for acting in high school. Robbie did three jobs as a teenager: she tended a bar, cleaned houses, and worked at Subway.
