Mason Vincent Toye, is a professional soccer player from the United States, who was born in South Orange, New Jersey, on October 16, 1998, he currently plays for Major League Soccer team CF Montréal.
Toye was selected as seventh overall in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft by Minnesota United FC on January 18, 2018. He made his professional debut as a 72nd-minute substitute in a 2-1 win over Orlando City, on March 10, 2018.
Toye spent his first two years of high school at Morristown-Beard School, before transferring to Seton Hall Preparatory School in West Orange, New Jersey, where he graduated in 2017.
He attended the Winston School of Short Hills as well. He attended Indiana University for one year before being drafted as a Generation Adidas player in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft. Toye appeared in 25 games and made 21 starts for Indiana University in 2017.
During the 2017 season, he had 10 goals and 2 assists. He contributed to the Hoosiers’ unbeaten 2017 season, which ended with a 1-0 loss to Stanford University in the 2017 College Cup Final, and he was also selected for Big Ten Freshman of the Year and was named to the Big Ten All-First Team.
