In August 2022, Chandler disclosed that he had engaged in an “unguarded and imprudent” internet engagement with a lady. He then stated that he would be taking an indefinite leave of absence from his job at Village Church.
Washington’s Seattle is where Chandler was born. He travelled around a lot because his father was in the military. They also had residences in Galveston, Texas; Alameda, California; Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan; and Olympia, Washington.
After finishing high school, Chandler started working as a janitor at Dickinson, Texas’ Pine Drive Christian School. In a high school chapel, Chandler was asked to share his experience, marking his first time speaking in front of an audience.
